The national honours were presented to the company during the awards presentation ceremony for 2016 winners recently. Business people from all sectors of the country gathered together at the ceremony in celebration of icons in the Zimbabwean business landscape.
Speaking on the sidelines of the occasion, Mrs Muregi Pundu accredited the success of the organisation to its loyal clientele, staff and stakeholders.
“I stand before you today with a sense of great humility and accomplishment on not only being awarded Zimbabwe’s Top Female Business Leader of The Year but to also celebrate the awarding of the Golden Knot Group the prestigious Zimbabwe Top Leadership Excellence Group Of Companies Of The Year.
Mrs Muregi Pundu hailed the company’s clientele and stakeholders for working hard to preserve the vision of Golden Knot and always giving customers the best quality of service.
“For us as Golden knot, to have others evaluate us, and see growth, innovation and excellence in our brand is the pinnacle of achievement among peers and this can only serve to encourage us to reach greater heights.
“This success would not have been possible without the active involvement and participation of our staff members, key stakeholders and regulators. It has since spread its wings regionally through Golden knot Legal Protection a registered Financial Service Provider in South Africa due to the increased demand of its services.
Golden knot is also into education through its junior private school Oceanwaves Junior School in Rydale Ridge Park. The school which opened in January 2016 has since witnessed a surge in the number of students and now has close to 300 students from the initial 69 at conception. The Group is also at an advanced level in introducing a banking services portfolio and Micro-finance through Golden knot Financial Services.
Several CEOs of other institutions were also honoured at the ceremony and some danced to guest of honour Suluman Chimbetu’s music all in the spirit of celebrating the dividends of hard work.
